What Happens When I Submit My Blog

One of the most common concerns of most bloggers is answering the question "What benefits will I gain when I submit my blog to blog directories?" Some bloggers will actually submit their blogs to dozens of directories or even more, while others feel that this wouldn't be of much use. What I have learned through extensive research and experience however, is that I get consistently good results when I submit my blog to a few different blog directories a short time after launching them. What I quickly learned when I submit my blog to blog directories was that I was able to garner backlinks in a fairly short time. The result was that my websites became more "attractive" to search engines, which indexed them more readily and in turn caused them to achieve a higher ranking in search engine results pages.
Search engines particularly value these links. All things being equal, search engines place a higher value on pages that have more links, since this is a sign of a worthy blog. it was this realization that allowed me to get favorable results after I submit my blog to a few directories. I also learned that it wasn't actually the directory list that gave me more hits on my site.
There remains some contention with regard to how many directories is the right number to submit my blog to. Opinions range from the modest to the outlandish, with some people of the thinking that I should submit my blog to as many different blog directories as I could manage.
Many web experts agree that as little as 5 to 10 blog directories may actually be more than enough. For although search engines are attracted to sites that have plenty of links, they are more likely to place a higher value on links that are featured on on topic posts and articles, as opposed to those that come from blog directories.
The question that this all brings up is how do I find blog directories to submit my blog to? A simple online search for "blog directory" will actually get you hundreds of potential directories to check out. In fact, many of the better blog directories came in at the top of the search results pages.
There are many blog directories that have specific rules about posting backlinks. I tend to shy away from those blog directories, and instead I tried to submit my blog to blog directories that were a lot less rigid.
Many of the blog directories I tried out were simple to submit content to. I felt that it would be best to skip the ones that take longer, and instead spend a few minutes in order to submit my blog only to a few blog directories. I was then able to focus on producing better content that resulted in more links.
